Gold vermeil is a type of jewellery that uses only the highest quality materials. A thick layer of 14ct to 24ct gold is plated on top of a solid sterling silver base, unlike regular gold plating which usually has a brass base with a very thin layer of gold.
This is why you will find gold vermeil jewellery being sold by top jewellery designers. Gold vermeil plating is 5 times thicker than normal gold plated jewellery. This makes it far more durable than other gold plated options and it is superior to gold filled jewellery which is gold sheet plating on a brass core. Gold vermeil is a great alternative to solid gold jewellery and as it is on a solid sterling silver base it is highly hypoallergenic.

✥ Gold vermeil is a thick coating of 14ct to 24ct gold over a solid sterling silver base. Although gold vermeil will not tarnish like silver, it may become dirty and fade slightly with wear. However, Gold vermeil can last a lifetime if you care for it properly.
✥ Always apply makeup, perfumes, creams and hair care products before wearing your jewellery.
✥ Remove your jewellery before exercising, swimming, bathing or sleeping.
✥ Store your jewellery in a cool dark place away from extreme temperatures, humidity or sunlight.
✥ To clean, buff gently with a jewellery cloth. You can also mild soap in warm water and a soft toothbrush to remove any dirt.

How long will my order take to arrive?
Please be aware that there are postal disruptions due to COVID-19 so postal times may take longer than usual. All orders are dispatched using the Royal Mail postage service. Standard UK delivery time is 1 to 2 days and international orders are usually 3 to 30 working days. All orders shipped in the Uk are 1st class signed for and all international orders are tracked and signed for. During busy periods such as Christmas orders can take longer to arrive so please account for this when ordering for a certain date. Postage times don’t account for any hold ups in customs. 925 Sterling Silver - This is the ideal choice for anyone with allergies to base metals. All my Silver is sourced from UK bullion dealers so it is guaranteed 925 sterling silver not cheap imported thin plate over base metal. It can be cleaned by using a jewellery polishing cloth.
Antique copper or gunmetal - This is a great choice if you don’t have any metal allergies or you would like to match your earring metal with a similar coloured necklace or accessories. All metal used is either jeweller's brass or bronze and all are nickel and lead-free. It can be cleaned by using a jewellery polishing cloth.
Clip-on earrings - Don't have your ears pierced? Worry not, the earring findings will make your fairy wing earrings easy to wear.
How do I look after my fairy wings?
✥ To keep your wings looking beautiful, store them out of direct sunlight.
✥ Treat them like pearls. Do not spray with perfume, hairspray or bug spray as this could potentially damage them. Like pearls put them on after you have applied any makeup, creams or sunscreens.
✥ Remove your fairy wing jewellery first before you remove your make up and go to bed.
✥ Do not shower or bathe while wearing your jewellery and avoid getting wet. If you do get your faerie wing jewellery wet, dry immediately.
